Pandanan Marine Technopark was initiated in Februari 20, 2020 by NTB Diver Community which is lead by Herman. He was accompanied by M. Barmawi and friends organizing Pandanan Bay first exploration. Eight divers dove in January 1st, 2020 and concluded that Coral Reefs of Pandanan Bay are needed to be restored.
Through series of trial, M. Barmawi was struggling to find out the right person who are going to be local hero and run the program in to the future. Yusron and M. Sykur are the local heroes that consistent until this moment running the program in Pandanan Marine Technopark.
Muhammad Yusron is the head of Dusun Pandanan in Malaka Village, North Lombok, Indonesia. In his role, Yusron is responsible for overseeing local development, addressing community needs, and fostering economic growth. He focuses on initiatives that improve infrastructure, education, and healthcare for residents, while also preserving local culture and traditions. Yusron works closely with government agencies and local organizations to bring resources to the area and support sustainable projects that benefit the community. His leadership is vital in balancing progress with tradition, ensuring that Dusun Pandanan remains a thriving and resilient village in North Lombok.
Muhammad Syukur
leads Pokmaswas in Pandanan, North Lombok, an organization focused on community-based marine conservation and monitoring. As head of Pokmaswas (Community Monitoring Group), Syukur oversees efforts to protect local coastal resources, enforce sustainable fishing practices, and prevent illegal activities that harm marine habitats. He collaborates with local fishers, government agencies, and environmental organizations to promote awareness about sustainable resource use and biodiversity conservation. Through initiatives like patrolling, community education, and conservation projects, Syukur plays a key role in safeguarding Pandanan’s coastal environment, supporting both the community's livelihood and the health of local marine ecosystems.
Herman leads the NTB Diver Community, a group in West Nusa Tenggara dedicated to marine conservation and promoting sustainable diving practices. Under his guidance, the community actively engages in initiatives like underwater clean-ups, coral reef restoration, and awareness programs focused on preserving Lombok and the Gili Islands’ marine ecosystems. Herman organizes diving excursions and educational workshops, emphasizing eco-friendly practices to protect local biodiversity. He collaborates with government agencies, NGOs, and locals to tackle environmental challenges, such as plastic pollution and reef degradation. Herman’s leadership is vital to ensuring NTB’s marine resources remain protected for future generations.
Muhammad Barmawi
is an engaged member of the NTB Diver Community in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, committed to marine conservation and sustainable diving. Focused on protecting Lombok and the Gili Islands’ underwater ecosystems, he participates in initiatives like underwater clean-ups, coral reef restoration, and educational outreach programs. Barmawi’s contributions support efforts to combat plastic pollution, preserve coral health, and raise awareness on eco-friendly diving practices. Through the NTB Diver Community, he educates locals and tourists on responsible diving to help minimize environmental impact, ensuring that West Nusa Tenggara’s marine biodiversity remains vibrant for future generations.
